Rabbits.
Youth who are planning to Exhibit rabbits at the Columbiana County Junior Fair MUST meet the following requirements to Exhibit:
- Be a youth in good standing in the Youth Organization they are a member. Meet all requirements to have a completed project with the Youth Organization. (4-H- Audrey Dimmerling Dimmerling.13@osu.edu, FFA – refer to FFA Advisor, Grange- refer to Advisor, Boy/Girl Scout- refer to Club Leader, etc) Each youth organization may have their own requirements.
- Declare your Junior Fair Exhibition Project by March 1st. (4-H Members register projects in 4-H online 2.0; FFA Members register projects with their advisors; all others need to contact the Jr Fair Directors) The OSU Extension office will run a report from 4-H online 2.0 to give to the Jr Fair Directors)
- Attend one (1) Quality Assurance Training - NOT REQUIRED for pet rabbit exhibitors
- Attend one (1) Clinic offered/approved by the Junior Fair Committees
NOTE: Market rabbit projects are required to attend TWO clinics - one market clinic and one other clinic. - Register and Tag in by the date given by the Columbiana County Fair Board
- Attend Book Grading
- Skillathon
Reminder:
Pet Rabbit Project (227)- This project will be taken as a still project fair project only. For completion youth would complete the Pet Rabbit project book, attend Still Project Fair, possible opportunity to be chosen for State Fair representation. Youth would not exhibit at the Jr Fair. Committee may choose in future years to open a class for hopping/agility during the week of the fair.
Breeding Rabbit (225)- Youth taking a Show Rabbit (previously taken/registered as Pet Rabbit) or Doe and Litter would be eligible for exhibition/judging at the Columbiana County Fair.
* Youth enrolling for the 225 Breeding Rabbit Project- Show (Exhibition) Rabbit would need to complete the Breeding Rabbit project book and the required Quality Assurance Program.

Fair Entry.
For official registration to the Columbiana County Junior Fair, exhibitors must register for their classes by July 1st each year. The junior fair is it’s own fair on fair entry, so please make sure you are entering in the JUNIOR FAIR.
Note: If you are entering in open class you will have to fill out entries via the senior fair, fair entry.

All premium moneys will be paid out as follows:
Any premium monies not picked up during the above designated times will be available Monday through Friday (the week after the fair) in Fair Administration Building from 9:00 a.m.-12 p.m. (noon).
All Premium money will be issued in checks.
Please cash checks ASAP; checks are void after 90 days
***No checks will be mailed
All checks not cashed within the 90-day time period will be considered a donation by the payee to the Columbiana County Fair.
- Jr. Fair: Sunday (the last day of fair) in Coliseum Office from 2:00 p.m.– 6:00 p.m.
- Open Class: Sunday (the last day of fair) in Fair Administration Office from 2:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
- Open Class Arts and Crafts: in Arts and Crafts Building during exhibit pick-up times
